The Nepali cricket team guaranteed their place in the T20 World Cup in 2026. India and Sri Lanka will co-host the 2026 T20 World Cup. Qatar defeated Japan by three wickets, and the UAE thrashed Samoa by 77 runs in the second game. Nepal and Oman were therefore assured of a place in the international competition.
Prior to their Super 6 match later on Wednesday night, Nepal and the hosts, Oman, both confirmed their spots in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup. After making their tournament debut in Bangladesh in 2014, Nepal will now participate in the T20 World Cup for the third time with this qualifying.
Next year, 20 countries will compete in the 10th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup, which will take place in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
