Kathmandu Gorkhas defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts by five wickets in the first match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025 at the TU International Cricket Ground on Monday. Janakpur had posted 130 for six after being invited to bat first. For Janakpur Bolts, Aasif Sheikh scored a half-century. Chasing a target of 131, Kathmandu reached 101 runs at the end of 15 overs.
Kathmandu chased the 131-run target losing five wickets with 12 balls remaining.
