The Jay Trophy team has been announced by Bagmati Province, and competition will begin on January 5. For the longer-format cricket match, which will be played with a red ball and traditional white apparel, Sandeep Lamichhane will captain the 18-man team.
The Bagmati squad’s fast bowling assault is strengthened by the return of bowler Nandan Yadav for the multi-day tournament. Left-arm pacers Pratish GC, Rijan Dhakal, and U19 star Dayanand Mandal are already part of this team. Sandeep last captained Bagmati’s squad in November 2023 at the KP Oli Cup. Bagmati qualified after finishing third in the PM Cup.
The top four teams from the Prime Minister’s (PM) Cup National Cricket Tournament will compete in the Jay Trophy.
