Nepal court on Thursday released high-profile cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane on bail of 2 million NRS. He was accused of raping a minor in a hotel room in Kathmandu. The 22-year-old was arrested at the airport and was in jail for more than three months. The Patan High Court on Thursday (January 12) ordered the release of Lamichhane with a bail of INR 2 Million. He was released on bail under strict conditions.
Sandeep won’t be able to leave the country and he even needs to take permission if he wants to leave Kathmandu. The 22-year-old was taken into custody in October 2022.
