Kathmandu: A minor has filed a rape complaint against Sandeep Lamichhane, captain of the Nepali national cricket team, at Gaushala Metropolitan Police Circle. District Police Office, Kathmandu has confirmed the news regarding the rape complaint against Sandeep Lamichhane. As per the complaint, Lammichhane raped the alleged victim on August 21, a day before Lamichhane moved to Kenya to play T20Is and then went on to play the CPL in the Caribbean Islands. The minor girl is under police protection and her health test has been done.
According to the Cricket Associations Of Nepal, Sandeep was allowed to visit his home while other players were in the Team hotel.
Sandeep Lamichhane has played 131 T20 matches and has taken 181 wickets at an average of 18.18 and an economy of 6.85.
