WI Vs Nepal: West Indies Won By 101 Runs

Nepal suffered a 101-run defeat against West Indies in the third match of the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023. Nepal won the toss and Rohit Paudel elected to field first. Decision to field first starts to hunt back as WI posted a mammoth target of 340 runs. Chasing almost impossible target against the one of the finest team in CWCQ, Nepal were bowled out for 238 runs in 49.3 overs.

Despite of early wobbles, Hope and Pooran started to build momentum by scoring 132 and 115 respectively.  216-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Pooran and Hope was strong enough to register the highest score of the tournament.

Chasring 340 runs, Nepal was on backfoot after the early dismissal of Kushal Bhurtel (5) in the second over. Aarif Sheikh and Gulshan Jha shared 68 runs of partnership for the seventh wicket which was not enough for the South Asian nation as Gulshan Jha made 42 and Aarif Sheikh made a half-century.
